We took a cooking class while in Luang Phrabang; our first stop was at the daily market (scenes of which will be coming) and then were driven about 10-15 km into the countryside, where the cooking school (actually, a branch of the Tamarind restaurant) had set up an outdoor facility for the day's lesson. The building is constructed over a small pond, and while waiting for things to get set up, I took several photos of this lovely water garden. There is nothing particularly "Laotian" about it as far as I know; I just like it.

I like it too, Dan. Very strong oriental mood. "Spring" for the Four Seasons. For me the overall subdued tone is what makes this photo special. Not too many people would notice the beauty here but you did.
Thank you for it.
Chris

Hello Dan.
I also just love it.
What emerges from this picture calm and serenity.
I like the balanced composition, the delicate colors and reflections that blend into the green water.
It is the harmony is pleasing.
Friendly.

hello Dan
the branches has given a nice and fine tortuous graphism with very beautiful colors.I would have cropped a little bit the picture at the top and the bottom for a closer framing for s stronger impact, but this is just a suggestion, this is also nice like this.
