Birth Stone
Stone coming from stone - just like people come from people, and everything that is, comes right out of everything that is not. It seems like this ought to be a rare and precious event - but it isn't. It is always, and everywhere, the most common thing there is.
In amongst the rocks, east of Port Eynon, Gower, South Wales.

Hi Colin - Subtle colour and light. The more I look at the shot the more it morphs into a woman, fascinating comparison. Warm regards Rosemary

Bonjour Colin.
Extraordinary sculptor, over the centuries, the wear of time gave them this beauty inalienable. The eye of the photographer does the rest.
Have a good weekend.
Friendly.

Hallo Colin!
A most interesting and worth seeing contribution - and a stunning one. Nature really is a great sculptor. A somehow magic place - shown in an atmospheric photo.
Greetings from sunny Germany!

... what the hell is a "birth stone" ... LOL ... but yeah, I see what you mean, I can see the head a little so I guess it is not far from kissing the earth :)))) I only see the obvious and I certainly would walk by a stone in labor ... Beautiful the stone, its shape and I do love its texture, it looks very smooth and comfortable to touch ... you would want to lean on and rest a little ...

Only a few words and they make it, great idea of this strange "stone behaviour", Colin. The soft light and good texture take care for the impression you described.

Geez! I missed this one! But I found it now, almost two months later, so that gives me some credit for late but good research, doesn't it - right?
I really get this, Colin - although it seems almost as obscure as the Olympic opening in London. (Sorry, I should probably just leave that topic!)
I carried two kids (not at once) in my belly for 9 months and when it came time to get them onto the earth, I did that too, I never SAW what I was doing. So yes, when I look at this photo - it could be the head coming through, but what the heck do I know? I was busy with pain and pushing and no one gave me a mirror, so I must be honest - I have no idea how it looks! ;-)
Hope you post again soon. I miss your controversial photos and inspiring words!!
Hugs,
Linda
