Sometimes I like to experiment with different techniques. In this shot I was looking for a painterly brush-stroke interpretation of a patch of blue flowers in my garden. It seems to fit the theme of 'motion' .

... this looks WAYS too green for Namibia ...OR you water the plants regularly :)))) I never experiment much, maybe I am a little boring in this respect, I guess, but the result you have achieved is kind of cool. The deep green has something relaxing, the waves on the other hand, yes they move ... you have a creative hand ... and a green garden :)))

Hello, Rosemary.
Excellent rendition. The abstract here shows a pleasing patern repetition
gathering round and straight lines (which gives the image a lot of balance too).
Have you added grains? If so, it worked beautifully.
Great contribution to the ToM.

I think that is partially the result of exposure compensation I used as at the time I took the shot I didn't have a ND filter to cut down the light.Warm regards rosemary

Very different from your previous posts!
An abstract painting ... A subtle blend of blue and green with fast and smooth brushstrokes The art of movement.
A successful attempt. Peter.
I will end this interesting tour of your gallery.
Meanwhile other pictures, I wish you a good week.

It is quite different from what I would normally post (most of my work is landscape) but I do like to work with different ideas and interpretations from time to time. I thought this might suit the theme.Rosemary

Hello dear Rosemary
Talk about going out of your comfort zone! And when you do, one would never be able to tell that this isn't your genre of choice! You know, this photo reminds me alot of Avene's style? Have you seen her work? She's here on PF, but the bulk of her work is on TE, although with a new bubba, she hasn't had much time to post. I love this blur of green tones. It's like diving into a cool clear lake. So tranquil and so artistic. Congratulations.
Warm regards
Lisa

I do like to do work other than landscapes and the beauty of PF is the opportunity to post other genres to those I post on TE. I was quite pleased with this one.And yes, I do know Avene's work. You pay me a huge compliment by comparing this shot with her style. Thank you!
Go well

Hi Rosemary,
A beautiful abstract, I like it, the different pattern and strokes create a nice texture, like wave of of green field or feather of tropical birds. Good experimentation and good result.
