As we walk the Via dolorosa - the way of grief - in old Jerusalem, we pass this little barber shop along our route.
Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem must be one of the most visited places in the world complete crowded the whole day with tourists and native people - even on a grey day in November.
Good then to have a photo of this moment of peace in the little barber shop .

Hi, Jack -
Nice shot of daily life. The light on the arm and the side of his head is very interesting, and given the location, hints at ghosts or other mysteries.
Best,
Dan

... I can't wait to be in Jerusalem myself. I still have to wait a little but it will be a birthday present to myself and a friend. We will be staying in Tel Aviv. We do this every couple of years to see how old we really are looking deep into each others faces ... yes LOL :)))) This is going to be a short cut, army style I would say. I like how the "stylist" is very much into his work and seems not to be bothered by your camera but fully concentrates on his work. I like the intimacy you have reached in it the way you have pp-ed and composed it. Yes I think going to the barber has something very personal, not only that someone works on your hair but also the things you sometimes share. Well done, I like it ...

I love the way you have cropped tightly and added a vignette to ensure we concentrate on the action. It works really well without completely taking away the surroundings like the hairdryer and the people in the background (maybe reflected in a mirror?)
Good work

You got some interesting light here Jack, but also the trip and location it self must be very interesting. Cutting so less hair doesn't look that difficult i think ;-)
Take care,

Hi Jack
The light is beautiful and the vignetting helps creat a sense of peace. A respite from the busy world outside.

Hi Jack,
Very good daily life shot, I like the vignetting effect that draw our vision ot the light on the barber's arm and shirt. Very good contrast with deep tone and subdue colors. and I love both the concentration of the two.
