I have seen reports in the papers about our recent heat wave. I am glad to report, for those concerned, that it should be over by now. We had short but quite spectacular thunderstorm yesterday. It did not get too much colder, it is just a little less hot. To compensate for that, humidity is higher now so the way the human body perceives it - not much change.
At the time of high humidity sweating has much less effect on cooling your body so you are as miserable as at high temperature. Garden does not complain at such times, wet after the rain and is not drying out too fast.

Hi Chris!
A truly dramatic sky! It's rendered here impressively and all these tones from grey to black are stunning and they create a somehow threatening atmosphere. I hope you have a good property insurance concerning natural hazard ;-)
Here we have had the most wet and cool July since 1910! A wonderful record!
Greetings to all from still autumnal Siegen - at 13°C!

Very warm greetings

Fantastic, wild clouds! I see a pine tree slight at the right lower border and I think that is a great detail as it gives some perspective to the entire scene. Personally I would have turned the camera a little bit more to the left to have this tree more in the corner, some 1/3 from the frame and than cloned the remaining branches of the other trees.

Hi Chris!
I say your winter image which leads me here, I prefer the heat wave. Looks like the lighting is about to strike. Really dramatic sky with threatening clouds. Really cool shot with simply just he cloudy sky, but yet so many diffent shades and blue tone. Good shot.
