The file must be in JPG format. Before uploading your image, be sure
that your file has a width set to the appropriate value:
- For a horizontal image: 800 pixels
- For a square image: 800 pixels
- For a vertical image: 600 pixels
If you use this value, the image will be uploaded without any changes. Any other value will
cause the image to be resized, and you could lose sharpness.
The image resolution is up to you, so long as the file is 2 MB or less. A larger file will
be rejected. 72 ppi is generally good enough for websites, but some people like to use 240 ppi.
In order to keep maximum sharpness when resizing the image using Photoshop, use the
Image Size function; you should set Resample Image to Bicubic Sharper
if the image is being reduced (which is the usual case), or to Bicubic Smoother if the pixel width
change will enlarge the image.
