About:

How and what I photograph:

Nature and landscape photography of the American West and Southwest. I usually do long hikes, backpacking, camping in search for unique compositions and evocative light moments. Although, I obviously take my equipment with me to trips to Europe, Central and South America, Africa, Asia ... and some day Oceania, Antarctica and Greenland.

For all those interested to get to know the American Southwest and West in a more intimate way (off the beaten path) you can sign up for a individualized photo tour with me at Four Corners Photography.
I also offer unique and very selected workshops.

What I use to create my images:

Bodies: Nikon D200, D700 & D800e

Lenses: 14-24mm f/2.8, PC-E 19mm f/4, T-S 24mm f/3.5, 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII, 200-400mm f/4

Really Right Stuff tripod TVC-44 + Gitzo Mountaineer tripod, Really Right Stuff BH-55 head, Wimberley WH-200

Nikon circular polarizing filter, various kind of Lee filters

All the above in a Mindshift Early Light 30L photography backpack stowed in a specially equipped Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon + Chaser trailer to take me to my destination and back home comfortably and above all safely ...

... 85 L backpack, f-stop small pro pack, hiking boots, hiking poles, backpacking tent and cooking utensils, etc ...

.... and finally Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC and other specific softwares to develop my RAW files and finally an Epson 3800 printer @ in my studio to put the final fine art print on display at shows, offices, churches, schools, private homes.
