About:

I have been a photographer for 24 years and have shot both as an amateur and professionally. I have tried just about every type of photography possible and I have specialized for the past few years in low light dance photography using fast lenses and high iso settings on my camera and I am currently trying to purchase the Nikon D3s, which I need for the very low light that I work in. Exposures of 1/15th at F/1.4 at iso 3200 are not uncommon for me. I also have experimented with black and white infrared with my DSLR and I really like it. I have also enjoy color nature photography, but this is just a sideline at the moment. I am currently working at making a name for myself in dance photography, which is a tough venue, both technically and financially due to the poor pay (all dance groups struggle to stay in business and simply cannot afford to pay much). Dance photography is no venue for inexperienced photographers.

I have been employed as a cartographic technician for 23 years and I will retire in two or three years and I plan on taking photographs until I drop. No sitting around watching soap operas and playing golf when I retire!

I have also experienced from participating on other photo forums that some photographers never respond to critiques. I find this to be odd and rude behavior. After commenting on one of my photos you will receive either a reply and/or a complimentary critique from me. It may be delayed sometimes, but my response will be forthcoming. You can count on it.
