Oooooooooooooh. I love it, Rob! What a peaceful and intensely colorful image. I really love the silhouetted cliff in contrast. The sand is beautifully smooth and the reflections are awesome and strong. I really like those red clouds in the rich blue sky. Fantastic! It's so nice to see you posting here, my friend. It's an enrichment, for sure!
Hugs to both of you and please tell Kath I said "hi" and give her a peck on the cheek from me, okay? :-))
The sunrise color is glorious here. I almsot feel like there is source of light behind my monitor that make this little image shine and glow. Most of the element has some shade of colors and hue to it, except the cliff at the horizon is in complete black which I think give the contrast that is needed to enhance the quality of the light and colors. Perfectly excuted shot and the right amount of pp to make this image shine like it is.
I am sure that I had been standing there the whole time since that light left me, Rob. This light pays for each moment you left your bed I think. I like your line of contrast by the waves and the plain wet beach, the relocated background break with the end of the cliffs and that even coloured sky from the golden shades to the deep blue and grey. And this view this offers a lot more, I am a bit jealous to not have been there also :-)
Lieben Gruss Ulf
Strong colors in a very beautiful setting, things i like to see in a landscape. You're lucky living so close to this area, but getting up early is always a struggle, but coming home with this it must be very rewarding.
Oh my! what a colours! surely it was worth the early wake! You have a wonderful large beach in Saltburn which assures a long perspective and sense of open space so appealing in a landscape, but beside that it's the strong chromatic contrast between the upper blue sky and sea and the golden/red colours in the sky and reflections which makes the photo. Wonderful!
Local beach sounds too normal :)))) Jokes aside, for me that has no access to a beach for at least 800 km or so, a beach is something very special. My heart jumps when I see it. This is such a beautiful image, the sunset colors are perfect, something that is not easy to reach with a digital camera I find. I love the blue tone in the upper part with the "electric" pink in it. The glossy part v. the dry sand looks great, we can almost see how the water is moving back, like someone would suck it in. This is truly beautiful, Rob, what a dream shot. Happy weekend ...

Amazing colours! The reflections on the shallow water and the fine perspective created by the wave tops reaching the shore are also very appealing. It sure was worth of getting up early for this excellent photo.
