It's a little "swim fest" tonight but so far so good, things start to work smoothly. But hey, sometimes you need to jump into cold water and return re-freshend, ready for new adventures, you're brain is clean and you see light in the tunnel.
I have had a similar image uploaded from the same place but I can't get enough to see these guys going swimming in the winter time. This place has cult status, if you're ever in the area, visit these brave guys. Trust me, it was bloody cold, I was wearing a winter coat, it was December after all.
I guess I need a dose of Ireland in the winter time again, very special.
We would never guess this is winter time; not only the "summery" activity, but the light is more like summer. Amazing that these people do this and your image shows it is not an inconsiderable number of people either.
I certainly don't swim in the sea, but because I live by a beach this brings back childhood memories of changing into swimwear under a towel and always being afraid it would drop off at an inopportune moment. 😝
Excellent entry into the theme.
I love it! You are showing us people at all levels of readiness for the beach - some are fully garbed for the cold, some are undressing for a splash into the water and some are (at least the gentleman on the left) are ready to get rid of even the bathing suit! It's a humorous contribution to ToM.
Ha ha I've just commented on Kath's photo about English prudishly undressing under a towel and Kath mentions her memories here.
I agree, I wouldn't have guessed that this was winter the light is so summery as well as the activity.
On January 1 at a nearby beach here they hold the traditional new year dip, it's now sponsored by a soup company. Every Jan 1 morning whatever the temperature 100's flock to the sea to break in the New Year.
Into my choices this goes.

There's somethiing like joy of life in this contribution and especially in the picture. I admire this spirit of enterprise - and I somehow can understand it. Swimming also is my passion ...
This a bit diagonal colourful row of swimmers is a wonderful evidence how to get older in the right way. I like this photo very much.
Greetings from Westphalia where it is pouring since two days now. I just came home from the outdoor pool - at 12°C ;-)
Have a nice weekend!
the new design look great, just some minor fine tuning. Hard to read the text messages.
This looks great on the gallery page. The line of people getting ready for the swim get your attention right away. I love the youthful spirit here though all the people here are older. I like to see we can still be this active in our older years...:)
Getting ready for our trip soon.

One would not know this is taken in winter, if you had not told it. It is a funny photo too, with there older people all being in different state of undressing. One cannot see a single young person in this group. Were there any younger ones at all? A different approach to the theme, but an excellent one!
I am sure I wouldn't like to swim in icy waters. haha. during winter it is ever hard to take a bath and face the frosty bathroom here.
I liked the way you framed the image, creating a strip with the personages. looks like only the older are brave enough to face the icy waters. haha.
