Not much to say about the image. Just a relaxing evening stroll near the hotel at Wailea Beach after an all day hike up on the crater. Instead of sitting in a restaurant somewhere, we decided to get some food in the to-go boxes and ate out here in the warm tropical wind and enjoying the sunset.
What a wonderful atmosphere is evoked in this image. People sitting watching the sun go down in wonderful warm weather. We, the viewers, can feel part of the scene standing behind the others. You balanced the exposure very well and without a grad I see. Excellent shot.
technically flawless (which doesn't surprise me, knowing your skills) and superb in terms of atmosphere. A beautiful shot, one that feels like velvet.
And thanks for visiting IceKrem, much appreciated!
Have a good day. I'll be seeing you,
This is probably the most atypical Hawaii photo I've ever seen, but that doesn't mean that I don't love it!
Henk is right about the tiny little tilt, but I'm not sure whether I would have noticed it if he hadn't mentioned it. ;o)
Beautiful capture, congratulations!
I was sure this was NZ until I saw the location! Really nice mood shot. The path diagonal keeps leading my eye toward the trees on the left, rather than the people on the chairs, and the trees are just close enough to the edge that it creates in my mind a touch of tension.
What a beautiful image and it reminds me of our recent trip to the islands. Scenes like this stay with you for such a long time. I can just feel the gentle breeze, and lapping of the waves on shore, and the murmur of the people watching the sunset. Well done my friend! And thank you for the memories.
Hello Way! I bet this was a great little picnic and I would not mind myself sitting in one of the deck chairs and have the tropical winds in my face. You have transported this feeling of laisser-faire, just BE and enjoy very nicely. Sweet stuff :))) Tschuessli + bis bald, Barbara.
what I like best is the beautiful gradient sky, I would love to join those people on the benches and enjoy the view, everything seems to calm and peaceful. including the path in the foreground works really well, it creates both a natural frame and a lead-in line for the eye to follow. technically perfect shot, as always :)
This is awesome. The colors are soft and yet vibrant and strong. This is not a photograph but pure mood.
Lovely detail of this composition with the big twin trees and the little one standing aside to give the odd number that seems to be so important to make it more interesting.I also love the bend of the trail following more or less the shore that has some humans laying or sitting and enjoying the entire scenery.
this is the kind of picture I'd like to have in my portfolio. Love the mix of mood, gradients, tones and colours; love the composition with the eye allowed to walk the path while enjoying the sunset...this is a stunning piece of beauty Way, hat off!
Wonderful tranquil mood is captured in this peaceful end of day image. The pathway adds effective horizontal depth while the lovely tree makes a very effective lead-in to that fantastic sky. The people enjoying this fleeting moment add scale to this late day beauty.
Warm Regards, Tom
