Getting to Reflection Canyon is not an easy and quick task. The hike is through the high desert wilderness without a trail. It goes and up and down ravines, dodging deep canyons. At the end of the 9 miles anyone is exhausted, some even before getting there. BUT, once you get there you are rewarded with one of the most amazing grand view of the Southwest. I did this hike so far four times. Number five will be next month. After that I will visit it twice this year, via boat. During my last hike I had enough energy left to search and find access to the overview from the water level.

Spectacular place, love how the rocks form some sort of shelter feel, you feel immediately secrue, a world in the world, in the arms of the canyon or similar ... okay okay, once the 9 mile hike is done, sounds like a struggle :-) Definitely a wonderful place to anchor down for a night. Needless to say that this is a romantic unique spot to hang out with nice folks searching for the stars in the night together wondering what else is out there. Fantastic image with great "thick" fat colors.
Isto é no planeta terra? Cara! Salvador Dali ia ficar babando se visse isto! Valeu todo o esforço e pp pra produzir este belo redemoinho. 5 fotos hein? Nem a grande angular deu conta dessa tamanha beleza. Linda foto e uma imagem surreal !!
Stunning photo Peter. The colours are fabulous and the rock formations are nothing short of amazing with the curls in the rocks as if they are arms protecting the pinnacle.
It sounds like a tough hike!
Stunning! I do love the pastel sky and how the reflected light changes the look of the canyon and the water. I also like how the shoreline leads the eye into the scene to explore the farther reaches of the canyon.
