Belíssima paisagem, Peter! Grandiosa!
you show us landscapes I have never seen, how can this kind of scene exist on the earth? Moreover, you always wait for early morning or late in the afternoon to have a sunlight which sculpts the environnement, giving the 3D sense. So you found the golden needle in the haysack!
Hänksville is full of THESE surprises, even the campground was off the limits, not too cosy and with no access to any night life but absolutely original :-) Wow this is definitely not the NP parking lot type of view point with the usual tourist crowds but a well hidden treasure (wise move to leave out the map). Odd rock formation but the whole area is really wired and strangely beautiful at the same time. HAVE to go back to the area. Great light and an excellent stitch, Peter, the LV gives back the whole spectrum what this land offers and you can dive in to Mars land.
8 files! How big is the full size file? I'm sure my mac wouldn't be able to deal with it.
It looks like Utah still has plenty of secrets to find, and it looks like you are the person to find them. Great light as usual and well balanced composition also as usual.
Minor nit-pick.....the pano seems a tad soft...no doubt due to re-sizing.
Somehow I missed this one, No I have not try to look for needle in the hay stack or in the desert. This needle is great, should be easy to fine with you leading the way....:-) to photograph it this well not as easy...Impressive with 8 shots stitched together. I can only imagine the large size of it. It can fill a whole large hall way and still nice and sharp...
Many years down the road, we maybe able to join your tour...when the kid is off to college...we can look for needle and whatever else is out there.
