It was the strong shadows that caught my attention. It is actually a small detail of a fishing boat in the boat park at Saltburn, my local beach. I thought it was a good fit for the theme....a bit late.
What a wonderful deep red, this color is so powerful. Always a pleasure working with a detail, the shadow play makes it really interesting besides. They kind of look new to me, no evidence of any rust :-) You're really fortunate to have a beach at your door mat. I am so happy to see a new image of you. I hope you can enjoy some of the summer treats like the long evenings, maybe with a glass of Spritz in one hand. Greetings from summer city Zurich, the new weeks brings another round of really hot temperatures.
That red really pops while the color of the chain is amazingly natural; still the shadows are the element that makes the image really special. Although I have missed you, I'm hoping that in your absence you've been having a good time! It's a good choice for the TOM, although my vote stays with your more ethereal empowerment sculpture.
Simple, bright, shapes, colors, and thought provoking.
I like it.
PS - haven't been around much. No inspiration at all to go out and shoot in the bone crushing heat. The other stuff has left us depressed and not wanting to do anything except enjoy Molly and help her through her problems.
