Lady’s Tower at Elie was designed and built in the mid 18th century for Lady Janet Anstruther who used it for changing before going for her daily swim. A bell was rung to warn the locals to stay away while she bathed.
At the time I thought the position of the sun was unfortunate, but I quite like the outcome.
A good one for the tom.
I like the story and the way they used in order the lady can bath without anyone else :). Now this still exist but they replace the bell by money !.
I remember once it was in tgnes or val d'isère : a ski slope was close for every body except the one who paid to have it for himself and its family ..... I was really scandalized this can still happen nowadays!.
a nice story I hope Rob wasn't changing upon there :)
The sun works pretty well even with its brightness and glare you have managed to get quite some detail from the shadow.
A good entry for the theme and good to see a post from you.
You really managed this very difficult lighting amazingly well, I can even recognize Rob.; while the glistening water invites one to swim......and, of course the well defined sunburst makes it perfect for this month's TOM. HLJ, Pat
I see you're not very active here. I understand, it can be frustrating, not only that it is slow. Maybe because of that it is just not very inspiring.
Nice effect of the sun, I have a few of this type of shots, directly at the sun, but I always feel like it going to ruin the sensor on my camera, so I always do it really quick. sometime it has a nice effect, but sometime not so much. This one work out great, I like the silhouette of the monument and the man, I assume it's Rob. Feel like I have to put on my sunglasses.
