I posted a few shots from this place already if you click on the location, you will see my few other shots. I was here 5 times in the 3 days that I was at Arcadia National Park. I wanted to see it at sunrise and sunset, The first time I was here it was too many people and I couldn't find a good spot to make a good composition of it and the one time in the morning it was cloudy. You can understand why I want to be here many times, it is really a very photogenic place and with good light it is glorious. Even on the Eastcoast of the U.S. you can see sunset here. This is the best light condition of the many that I was here and I was here early enough to get the good spot for a composition that I wanted and it was low tide with tide pools for reflection.
The effect of the sun is obvious here, illuminated the sky and casting beautiful golden tone on the light house and cliff.
If you zoom in enough the map view, you can see a name "Wonderland" near the spot, where you took this photo. The name is fitting and it is no wonder you wanted to return to this place to find a right moment to photograph this. A lovely shot with plenty of nice details. I like the golden light on the rocks and the lighthouse, the rising sun and its reflection and your excellent composition with the big diagonal and the lighthouse at the correct position. This is also an excellent contribution to the current theme. It will be tough to select five among so many wonderful shots.
your note describes well how you fancy your picture and insist to realise it. Everything is perfect: the place to have the reflection in the puddle, the glorious diagonal last sun ray illuminating the lighthouse and coloring in red the rocks
Your patience and endurance paid off you have it all, gorgeous light, perfect composition, sidelight of the sun of the rocks, low tide with reflections in the pools, no people to spoil the image - everything works and into my choices it goes.
Like Lasse, I'm finding this a very tough month for choices but I think this one is another winner. The long shafts of light and stream of clouds and the bright gold of the sun and it's path across the water are outstanding. However, it is the effect of the sun on the rocks and the lighthouse that make this compo unique. HLJ x 3.7, Patricia
Among the best images of this place, Way. Some spots are "must-come-backs", trying out different light conditions, even with fog. Wonderful how the clouds go over slightly spreading out towards the lighthouse. I think this is what makes the image special. I also love the typical blue of the blue hour. I have never been to this NP but it looks like a great place to go. Definitely a Fav, an image to collect.
