I am going to go out on a limb and stretch the ToM. This is the Confederate Memorial on top of the Memorial Plaza in Lynchburg, VA. The statue of the Confederate soldier has plenty of texture and the tip of his bayonet is sharp.
A great interpretation of the theme, Murat, something completely different. I never mind a good stretch, always a pleasure to see what others find and how they work with a topic. Very nice point of view from blow the memorial, wonderful the blue skies without a single could. Very quiet on PF at the moment, I hope this will change soon.
Excellent shot with really good perspective and good POV from down low. The clear blue background make the statue very prominent and really sharp looking. The pointy weapon is intimidating, but I wonder if the birds may come and stop there all the time or how do they keep the bird away.
The soldier's bayonet clearly fits the TOM. I guess you must be thinking that you're out on a limb because the soldier is a Confederate soldier & many of these monuments are being removed. I do have some feelings about honoring those who tried to tear the country apart.....just as is our current president. Still, removing such monuments isn't nearly as high on my list as the dangers into which we are being led. Regards, Pat
I like the low point of view and angle you selected for your photo. As often I used the map and street view and saw how high up the statue is. I think this is also a good addition to the ToM. I have not found a single candidate to this month's theme, not hat I have particularly went to hoot anything for it. 🌝
