A mini SERIES about one of my many "walks in the woods". It's not far from where I live surrounded by a golf course, probably one of the oldest in Switzerland. You need a big budget to become a member, I guess they wouldn't take me - hehe.
This year was especially attractive with our foliage I think. The leaves lasted for a long time due to the great weather. Looking at the date, this was nearly mid November.
I love when the leaves make this dry sound under my feet. I also find it smells nice, pleasantly "rotten" :-)
Ah, beautiful shots, all in the series made it my fav. I like all of them, but the 2nd is my fav. The fall colors look as good as some of the places I have been in Vermont or Colorado. The dirt trail so natural and pure without the cars driving on it, I can image the crackling sound of the leaves under your feet. The crisp air of autumn season...you're lucky to leave near such beautiful nature...
I know exactly the sound of these leaves on the ground and the smell in the air. Your image gives away even these non descriptive elements. It sets me back to times which seem to be far away and almost forgotten.
In 6 weeks I will be back to visit my kids and but than the woods will look, sound a smell quite different from what you photographed.
Personally, I prefer the free woods over any "hoititoiti" golf course ;-)
