Little over a year ago, we took Tyler to Switzerland to meet with the family and we took the opportunity to see part of Switzerland that we have not been, well at least I have not seen before. We took the gondola lift up to Diavoleza from here you can see the glacier and the famous Piz Bernina, a soaring 13,283-ft. mountain offers challenging routes to the summit. We had an all clear day with excellent view of the mountain range. Even Tyler at 1.5 year old at the time had a great time with his opa whom he met for the first time, Laughing and enjoying running around in the high altitude. He still talking about his opa when looking at these photos. We're looking forward to taking him back to Switzerland again in a year or so.
Great Autobahn, it nearly looks like a highway - hehe. What a wonderful view from up here. Love this mix of brown and ice. Definitely a great landscape to go for small and b i g hikes. An elegant take from the famous mountain peaks and glacier. Cute baby T. looking happy full of funny ideas maybe looking out for the Berner Sennenhund :-) By the way a friend fell into a crevasse last year. He got resuced by the Heli and had to go to the hospital with a broken shoulder. He was VERY lucky not to fall deeper. People do interesting stuff without the knowledge they should bring with them. Excellent Series.
You really framed the glacier well. You captured both it's steep, crumpled beginning and it's many layers while the Pano adds impressive detail. Still for me, Glaciers represent grunge very well. My favorite of the series is the gleeful Tyler with both his very happy father and his Opa. For the road TOM, I think I'll stick with your Vermont series for now.
Hows that little girl doing? HLJ x4, Pat
I like the pano very much. The lateral moraines gives us the impression that some giant has been skiing down the mountain. I do like the details in the panoas they seems to be softened in the regular views. Anyway, all of the images are top notch and I like them.
Wow! The pano is magnificent! Obviously the larger size has more impact.
Excellent idea to use the path of the glacier to fit the theme. Lovely to see some more shots in the series from your family album. EDIT I noticed you didn't add it to the theme!
