A boat is a great way to view lake Powell. Once the lake is too shallow for a boat, the walking can be a bit muddy
I can't get the map coordinates to work; however, here is a link that shows the location of Labyrinth Canyon. Didier has already posted an image of Labyrinth Canyon, I'll post some later.
What a way to explore Lake Powell on a boat and with a expert to guide you along the way, who know the way on the path as well as photography. I love this shot thought the contrast is very strong between the light and shade, you manage very well with the exposure, still not burn out the sunny area and the shadow is still very nice with details. The few people walking into the landscape is just perfect as a leading in. I like very much the details and good color on the rock formation in the center.

What a special trip. I must admit I am a little jaleous :-) The light is simply stunning, great the sunlit parts while the canyon itself remains in the shadow. The three men add an excellent feel of adventure and exploring, we have no idea what is behind the next rock, what dangers, what beauty. Great mix of landscape and travel. Love when an image tells a story and we can make our own.

What a fascinating place! I like how you were able to master the difficult light conditions here. The contrast between the water on the ground and the absolutely naked rock faces is stunning. I also like the wonderful depth in the scenery - especially caused by the row of hikers. A photo to look at a bit longer ...
Greetings from grey and rainy Germany!

It's early in the morning, the sun is still low and creates deep shadows. The rocky formation is awsome and its warm color is contrasting with the deep blue sky. The tekkers wandering in the shallow water give the scale. I like the reflectionin the water which is like silver.
plimrn (2018/12/11 02:26:26): Thank you, I am honored.
I can imagine the natural treasures we can find in this trekking. in the image, with a little of imagination, we can identify a shark in the shadows. nice colors with a great contrast between the blues and orange hues and personages well positioned and in movement. excellent result.
A great shot with fine colours, excellent control of light and a good composition. Thanks for the map link, which gives a good overview of the location. The colours of the rocks also give an idea what can be seen further in the canyon, the photo in your next upload. An excellent contribution to the theme.
