The brick bridge carries the railway line over the river, but as this is a known walking path, there is also a small footbridge for walkers to cross the river. If you look closely you can see the footpath sets off in the foreground, goes over the footbridge and then disappears up the hillside on the other side of the river.
I tried unsuccessfully to find the location on the map. I guess it is obscured by trees.
A beautiful photo composition showing a somehow romantic place. All the different curves and the zigzag of the path provide an interesting sight. A fancy contribution to our theme of December.
Greetings from wet, grey and cool Westphalia! Merry Christmas!
What a romantic looking natural foot path - all so inviting to do just the same and join you for a pleasant walk. I could use some fitness, the cookie box is never far in the days before and after Christmas :-) The hint of green and also the stone bridge are an excellent foreground. Very nice image for the theme.
Not that much time left before the Fest starts tonight. Wishing you again a Merry Christmas to Rob and you and the rest of the family.
An interesting and attractive composition. The footbridge invites to have a walk along it and the path which is winding away to the far distance.
Again, Merry Christmas to you and your family!
very nicely framed, well exposed and with pure colours. I like how the underneath of the bridge is lit (brought out of the shadows) to show the details of bricks and not just a dark blob which would have changed to entice photo. Into my choices
So true, a small wooden bridge under a bigger and more sturdy built bridge. I like the framing and the use of the wooden bridge leading in and under the arch of the larger bridge. Excellent shot.
Interesting take on paths, one over and one under. I like the composition a lot with the rail leading me in to discover and the bridge focusing more attention into the image. The flora hanging down is a nice touch.
