Looking at this image with the grey overcast winter skies and green looking sea, well it makes me think of the many cosy Irish Pubs with the fireplace going in the winter time, eating a filling bowl of clam chowder and drinking a huge glass of Gunniess. To me this is completely romantic :-)
Love the light in this image, the typical Irish winter light. This is why I go there in the winter time I think.
You described pretty much how I feel when I was in Alaska in some small fishing villages. The pale light through the cloudy sky, the cold moist and humid air, very refreshing to walk about and then sneak into a small warm restaurant for some soup...
Beautiful image that captured the mood of the place and the lone little boat completes the composition.
BabaCam (2019/02/05 11:24:24): Thank you for the Fav :-) I can imagine that Alaska has many of these "grey" moods. I do love them.
A special light for sure. I should never have thougth that winter was the best time to go up there. I guess it must be cold, windy & "humid".
But in these conditions a good irish pub must be the heaven for sure :).
BabaCam (2019/01/26 21:57:36): I love it in the winter, no idea about others. I did not write it is the best time, it is what I like. I am sure all seasons have something great. I was there in the summer, had some really bad weather, worse than this. Anyways, I am not a tour guide nor the weather man :-)
