A nice series. In the main like the composition, the ripples on the river surface and the traces of the geese on the snow. My favourites are #3 & #4. In #3 I like the horizontal layers of the photo, the tree trunk on the foreground, the snow on the trees and especially the mood. #4 is lovely. The willow, the river with reflections, and a good B&W conversion make the photo very attractive.
Greetings from cold and snowy Finland. When we woke up it was -19 °C.
plimrn (2019/01/27 20:24:11): Kittos; that IS cold!
I liked the view with the geese so well positioned in the image and that soft curve in the edge of the icy edge. I saw similar geese like these in patagonia.
I liked the series, in special that image with a row of pine trees in vertical and the trunks covered with snow in the horizontal. pure poetry.
here we are facing another hot day, the largest series of hot days we can remember. it is hard to work and sleep.
plimrn (2019/01/27 20:17:28): Obrigado, they are quite common....often considered pests but I'm rather fond of them
You show us beautiful winter impressions in this little series. I also like picture #4 the best. It has an attractive composition with this trunk in foreground. I also like the main photo showing this group of Canada geese very much. Here I like especially the rendering of the different water surfaces and this little rapid in the upper part of the picture. A wonderful winterly scenery.
Greetings from now grey, wet and rainy Germany - after a long lasting frost period!
plimrn (2019/01/27 22:14:29): Danke. We have sun & 15 degrees centigrade while the ground is still frozen ground with daytime puddles. Nights are always below freezing
A nice series. I love b&w, although Aline is not very keen. My favourite is n° 4.
plimrn (2019/01/27 22:10:16): Hallo John,
How nice to hear from you. I had worried that illness might be occupying your time but hopefully it was the joy of family. I'm not too fond of B&W either but with this month's topic and my practice, I have discovered some images really are better in B&W GLV, Pat
The Series holds some wonderful images. 4 and 5 are my favorites, maybe no. 5 even more with the tree "sadly" hanging down adding so much poésie. TOM is a great way to challenge yourself with one topic only. Great job.
plimrn (2019/02/05 18:15:57): The TOM is a great learning tool, especially with all the helpful comments that are givenplimrn (2019/02/05 16:19:20): Danke
