Children have to learn early to drive bikes in order to be independant to go to school for example.
Here are some pictures taken in different countries showing how they manage and use different types of bikes!
What a great series, so many choices for bikes! I love the series! Each image is very different and very well done. My favorite is #2 for the glee on the girl's face. My Grand-daughter was never quite that bold although the picture does remind me of one I have of her (although both feet were firmly on the pedals) Your comment about the freedom and independence of bikes echos my son's comments about his bike. He rode all over San Diego. SAJ, Pat
a well put together series, Claude. here in the Netherlands children learn to ride bikes quite early, my 3 year old grand daughter is so proud that she can now ride her bike, without stabilisers to nursery school :)
I like your choice for the main image as the "Penny Farthing" is a unique version of the bicycle. I have enjoyed riding the bicycle my whole life. I got my first bike when I was about six years old and I was able to explore far and wide. I remember taking off in the morning and not coming back until late in the afternoon - so much fun.
