This 20+ floor office block in the central business district of Montevideo caught my eye with the randomness of the window taints, the window blind colours, and the distribution of air conditioning units. There is a lot of randomness in Montevideo and this summed up the city for me.
A good and interesting contribution to our theme of May! What an amazing "pattern" of windows - and what an unattractive way for the housing of people, a somehow sad view.
Greetings from sunny but cool Germany!
Lots of window, look as if you were at another window just like it from another building. Makes me think of the movie Rear Window, where people can see into the room and spy on the other's life...especially at night.
Relatives lived in Montevideo for some years, the husband working for the Swiss Embassy. I had never an idea how it looked when we grew up but the other day I came over a docu and I had the impression it had some interesting sides. Not sure if I would want to work in this building, it kind of looks a hint run-down not sure if it holds together. The different shutters, colors and air conds give a cool mix. Actually their kids still love the country, one has or maybe had plans to buy a farm. Excellent image for the TOM.
