Is there a more iconic symbol of the châteaux of Bordeaux than the walkway leading to the château with its majestic columns? Through the gate, casual visitors can snap a photograph of the château from afar. But if you can arrange a visit, you can then really discover the true beauty of the château and its surroundings. Venturing beyond the gate is only one reason to arrange a visit here. The walk surrounded by the towering trees is quite serene and one of the most beautiful sites in all of Bordeaux. Getting a closer look at the château (built in the early 19th century) allows you to appreciate its true beauty and obtain some pretty spectacular photographs. In order to taste one bottle, you have to pay at least 500€.
Fits the theme "luxury" and I hope to give some ideas the the PF members to participate.
You do present a compelling case for luxury with the gilded spikes and supporting note. A choice for me. I am also struggling with luxury. My sole thought at present is a bit of the very gilded Palace of Versailles. SAJ Pat
Okay this is not my budget - haha :-) Even a wine tasting is THAT much, you have to taste a whole bottle? Well it's the Rolls Royce of wine I guess. The light is really lovely, it brings out the nobless even better. The villa is bathed in gold and yellow. I hope it still belongs to the French. I have heard that the Chinese start to buy wineries. Excellent image for the TOM, a good idea giver to dig in our archives.
