The old bridge across the Gota River (Götaälvbron) in Gothenburg was inaugurated in 1939 and must be replaced. The new bridge will open next year when Gothenburg celebrate 400 years. The construction of this new bridge to the island of Hisingen (Hisingsbron) is very interesting to follow. It certainly requires a lot of strength to move these bridge parts!
It really must be interesting and even fascinating to watch the progress on such a construction site. Your photos show the construction method well. What a precision work! The "little" orange load lifter is a beautiful eye-catcher.
A fancy contribution to our theme of January!
