Although I have not been lucky with this theme I don't give up that easily :-) One image was not understood (oh dear) but also I honestly do not have a lot around that fits.
I can imagine that people that strongly believe that it gives them inner strength in many aspects of their lives. Not sure but maybe it fits.
Taken in the crowded busy streets of Jerusalem. While you often see Christians walking around with large wooden crosses, others read from the Thora. It's an amazing place, not one single dull moment day and night.
It's a good interpretation of strength, not a physical one but a more inner one, they suppose that God will help them in their lives to overcome some difficult moments, they search in the Bible some answers to their problems Too cartesian to unserstand that position!
Good crop to focus on the prayer with the holly book in hands.
Your thoughtful framing is very effective while the black and white conversion adds to the feeling of strength. I know much of my family considers their religious belief to be a their most important source of strength. It's a clear choice for me.
A not everyday but really applicable and meaningful interpretation of our theme of January. I like how you could photographically "carve out" this impressive face in the crowd.
