I love this pp, Paulo, it has a polaroid approach in it, I think. Very good how you got his hand moving, the music receives a "sound" this way. Yes nice how the old guy watches his grandson, love how you played with foreground/blurred background sort of saying with this "old leaves young a platform, we step back a little". Okay maybe it is just some boy from the band but it very much shows that old and young are doing something together learning from each other. Serious little man :)))))
I have seen a few high key images lately and I think it has a place here and there. It's finding the right image for the high key treatment that is the answer to its success. I wouldn't know where to start. Someone should make an inspiration lesson about it!
This works very well and it also tells a story. The boy is concentrating hard while the older man seems to be evaluating his performance.
The image is strong and your PP is perfect. I really love how you worked to get all the surroundings off the frame. My attention is completely drawn to the two characters. The contrast in ages is genial and I really appreciate the depth of the image with one being in the front and the other in the back. The young boy is the future and hence in the front while the observing older man in already the past and hence in the back.
I agree with the consensus, the old man is clearly the grandfather....the two hold their mouths exactly the same way. The boy is beautiful, pure and untouched, confident in his youth that things will only get better. The old man stands there indistinctly, like the ghost of the future. If the boy is lucky, he will some day be looking at his own grandson with pride. Beautiful work, with the PP, you have cleaned out everything extraneous, making the boy's face the focal point.
Very nice one, an oldie but definitely a well worth image. I never thought the over exposed element can have such a strong effect. It is really beautiful, our eyes and mind fill in the rest of the missing lines and shape.
