Urban angle on the business district of Marina Bay in Singapore.
Shot taken before sunrise to be almost alone on this floating pier to avoid blur of movement during the 30s exposure time.
The tripod was at the lowest size to use in the best way the TT as foreground anchor in the composition.
Fantastic image, Yves, the neon reflections in the harbor are fantastic. The strong yellow and pink on the far right look just great and are probably the key to this image if you asekd me. It is not only about excellent quality but also what makes the image different to all the other blue hours. This is IT to me. Excellent also this thingy in the middle, it is a well chosen lead in, sort of the whole city unfolds behind this, opens up. Bubbly town for sure, yet I prefer Seoul, I honestly do, alone for its foods :-)
sevy (2016/03/08 19:44:50): I was thinking only Barbara was food focus. But she is obviously having a mind sister :-)feather (2016/03/08 14:29:41): Mmmmmm! Chilli Crab!sevy (2016/03/08 13:02:08): For food, I prefer Singapore: more choices. Even if I have to admit the Korean BBQ is something I like.
Gorgeous blue hour image. It does get crowded at the other end of the day for sure. The foreground street furniture is perfectly placed in the centre as it matches the central placement of the high towers across the water. You low POV also has the advantage of reducing the distance of the water.
Some great angles all over, but particularly the roofs on many of the buildings.
Wow! Stunning color, reflect6ions, and composition. I like how you have used the bollard front and center to anchor the composition. I have spent some time studying this image and the bollard, deck boards, and even the screws are necessary parts of making this image work on the highest level.
