Renee and I spent a week over in Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island. It was taken on Chesterman Beach just in front of our B&B and it was a long exposure using a 10 stop ND filter for over 5 minutes.
The most perfect spot to spend some days. How can the owners ever work with such view :-) Okay they probably do not see this as "work" but they're always on a holiday making people happy. Such a beautiful sunset image, the ripply foreground looks just great. But also all the other images in your SERIES are top and also fun to go through. Love the second image but also the surf buddies and especially no. 4 and the last one with this guy falling from the board. You could spend hours watching them.
Nice series. I guess the water was not that warm for surfing ...
The timing in the last is excellent (unfortunately for the surfer ).
The #3 is great too with dybnamic aspect on water .
Excellent shot of the main post, I love the melodramatic mood and minimalist composition, love the subject tone of of the cloudy sunset. Beautiful series of the beach activities...Nice series of action shot of the surfer and #3 is one of my fav with the smooth water texture and the pure and peaceful mood.
I do love staying in places with a stunning view, do you mind sharing the name of you B&B? You also have some fine surfing images in your series, The middle of the three is especially graceful while the dog makes a fine focal point on the beach. HLJ, Patricia
