I love these stone formations in the forground, I have even brought home tiny pieces. No wonder I have "Übergepäck" sometimes :-) What a wonderful sky with all the clouds and color, Peter, great choice of leading-in. I am sure this must be a fun ride and something completely different to the normal road trip. I need more holidays, five weeks per year is not enough.
Awesome shot! Another wonderful landscape and most of us have never seen before. I love the texture of the foreground patterns similar to what we seen at White Pocket, and the soil almost looks like mount of sand. The mood even more special enhanced by the warm morning light, and those clouds spice up the sky nicely, which is pretty special for most the time, it is usually cloudless. The warm light makes the red landscape like planet Mars...except the water...
It will be many more years down the road, we can consider an excursion like this, until the kid is older.
Morning and evening light so beautiful in canyon country it is not hard to come away with some very nice images. This is very nice with the cookie like rock pattern in the FG and the glowing clouds and early light on the spire.
