I've missed you guys and gals and I plan to contribute more regularly in the future. Here's an older image, but I'm quite behind with my editing, so there's lots of stuff in the bag. A whole lot of stuff. :)
Nothing worth having comes easy, they say. I live in an area where agriculture (next to tourism) is one of the most important sectors of our economy. I admire and respect our farmers greatly. They work long and hard to care for our fields, meadows, animals, crops and forests. Where would we be without them?
This image is taken in Austria, and the Lechtal is part of the "regular tour" that we do when friends from other countries come to visit. In this case, we were taking my wonderful Mom out for a drive. It had been years since she'd been here. We had a lovely time. More images will follow.
Good to see you here. When things come too easily, we just take it for granted. So the more difficult the thing to get, the more it's worth :) Though we should lean to be grateful and never take anything for granted. Lovely shot, and what a glorious day. Love these cloud and so many shade of green, summer at its best.
Welcome back. :).
About the title, I'm not sure I get it correctly. If i put it in google translator it gives me something like "Rien ne vaut la peine d'être facile" in french so "nothing worth being easy ?" could it be the meaning ?. So better when it is difficult ?.
Anyway, nice alpin landscape :).
guillaumejm (2018/08/30 17:16:52): Yes I understand btter :)
JMarcSistercosmo (2018/08/28 21:01:24): Hello, my friend,
well, it doesn't mean that it is always better when it is difficult. It just means that sometimes it is difficult, but it is worth it. Do you know what I mean?
Long time no see, Linda. Great you are back.
Lovely image with a meaning behind. Good meadow, not too dry, not too wet, sunshine, blue sky with just enough clouds for decoration and balance.
Looks like a nice place for a visit and good drive or, even better, long walk.
You show us a beautiful landscape which seems to rest in itself. I like especially all the different tones of green everywhere - and the red wheels of the tractor are a nice detail in the scenery. I nearly can smell the scent of the fresh hay ...
Greetings from still dust-dry Westphalia!
I liked the matching of the shapes of the mountains and the shapes of the pine trees with these details like tractor. nice rural mood. in fact agriculture in this part of the world looks much more clean than in my region.
Holderio :-) I find both of your new images really nice, Linda. Maybe I go for the tractor this time, also for its message. Same here, these folks have long days, it is dangerous work with these machines etc. Yet I sometimes say to my neighbor who runs a farm "at least you are your own boss and can do what you want". He agrees to this part. Excellent compo with the small red tractor to the left standing in this beautiful landscape.
