Whenever we have visitors (and sometimes even when we don't - just for fun) we like to take this scenic route to Austria. I've driven here hundreds of times and every single time, I have the same thought. I'm so thankful to be living here. It's a wonderful life.
Just as the band Black sang so nicely
Yes, you sure are lucky to be living where you are. and with a day like this all clear with just a few clouds to breakup the plain blue sky. Those various shades of green, from light yellowish to dark bluish green are just beautiful and so full of summer energy. Those are happy cow, not like those in the barricade like some we see on the way to San Francisco in the thousands.
Beautiful like a fairly tale story, no wonder all the wonderful fairly tales are from Germany...
I was hesitating for a long time about what I really feel about your picture, so I kept silent. But - I love the picture, the cowc, the barns, the church in the valley, the mountains and the sky. Everything is perfect in this part of the world - except the carved in the mountain forest trails of, I think, downhill skiing trails. Like scars across otherwise beautiful face of the land.
It does not make your picture worse, it just make my heart shake a bit for the damaged beauty of nature.
Great picture and I would probably visit the place as often as you do, but since i don't, I am not at ease here.
Regards and all the best
oh no, it's not what you think. Those are not skiing trails. Those are the normal paths that are cut into the forests by the rain and snow. Here in the Allgaeu Region, we place an incredibly high value on the preservation of nature and there are only specific places where people are allowed to ski. It would be much too dangerous to ski through a forest. Skiing is allowed on fields that are naturally present. Check out this link: here
The blues and greens with a few touches of red make a lovely composition. The absence of of cars and road signs, that are present almost everywhere else, gives a real feeling of peace and serenity. I'm so glad to see that you are still having a wonderful time! HLJ, Pat
Hey! Look who's here! I must admit to being an infrequent visitor myself these days.
I've seen your gorgeous scenery first hand, so I would have guessed an approximate location. You definitely live in a beautiful area. I like here how the path leads to the church passing the tiny cows, which give scale to the whole scene.
