After an unbelievably extreme winter where we were drowned in over two meters of snow within ten days, I'm dreaming of some green in my life. Here in Buchenberg, everything is still very white and we can't hope for Tulips or Crocus for at least 3 more weeks. The damage in our garden and the damage in the forests is enormous.
So I decided to look at some photos of lush green fields to make me think of spring.
The Panoramaweg in Oy is a great place to enjoy nature. I find this image very calming in its simplicity.
I too really like the clean simplicity of this image. We're having that same weather here, soon the snow from the roof will totally block the view from the window. Of course I was recently complaining about no snow. Sill the skiing is great. My son skied in Austria this year, he was there for Christmas with his daughter's future in-laws. He was here for awhile, and is now at Alta. He has a ski pass that is good for a few days at each of many different resorts.
Yes Linda, this is what we are longing for - although winter in my region wasn't theat budensome. I like this well-composed picture and its atmosphere very much. There are few but enough "ingreditents" for a pleasing and beautiful scenery. The fluffy clouds are a nice detail in the big sky.
Here Crocus & Co already are flowering ...
Greetings from a grey and rainy Westphalia! Have a nice and hopefully sunny week!
We were not in Unterwasser for like 6 weeks and are really surprised how much snow it still has despite that it was much too warm for like 2 weeks just recently. A lot of things look damaged over here too like our fence and some of the trees. The cable car to Säntis mountain will not run for many months due to an avalanche that hit it and same with a transport cable car in the same region. We must have gotten the same level of snow fall. The beauty about the Seasons is that we can look forward to a completely other world. We're getting there :-) Lovely image, I find the cloud layer really attractive and how it goes through the blue adding another level.
Amazing that you have had so much snow this winter. We here along south coast of our country had only 61 cm in February and even in the north they had only around 90 cm. While we have almost lost all snow, in north snow depth continues to be over 50 cm still for a while. Snow damages in the forests are an every winter problem in certain areas here, so I can imagine how it was in your area. A beautiful landscape and a well composed photo of it. Just wait a few more weeks and you will have this kind of scenery. :-))
