Image taken inside a temple complex in the Nara area with the typical orange that you very often see in these places. I have no idea if it means something but it is definitely a strong color that I find attractive.
The CI is a bit live-lier with the folks walking by but for the theme I think this one goes better.
What a difference - especially in colour - to European temples! One wonderfully can see that this door really is in regular use. An eye-catching and somehow impressive contribution to our theme of May. I also like the CI very much.
Greetings from grey and cool Westphalia! Have a nice weekend!
Love the red door, no matter where it is. We used to have one in my old house. I haven't the chance to paint our new house door to red, maybe one day....
This is excellent for the ToM, okay even without the ToM it is still a good photo that show the Eastern culture, the fascination of the color red, how it means so many things, usually positive things, festivity, wealth and happiness. Except in the Western culture, it has more negative meaning...Danger! Stop! Attention!...etc.
Wowza, Do you ever have amazing doors and windows! I agree with your assessment. This one is more strongly a door with the way you framed the full sweep of the door & the way one is looking up at the opening to the bright outside light. Still with that bright red, it is also a standout with the happy couple. I assume they are happy because they're just holding hands, not even taking pictures! GLF, Pat
