I posted an image of the whole church whole church earlier. This church was built in 1901 as a Lutheran Mission. This is a statement about the change: "The Congregational Union of Australia, the Methodist Church of Australasia and the Presbyterian Church of Australia, in fellowship with the whole Church Catholic, and seeking to bear witness to that unity which is both Christís gift and will for the Church, hereby enter into union under the name of the Uniting Church." How Cool is That??? Churches uniting instead of dividing!! earlier. I do love Australia!
An image that would fit both Tom of last month and work great for this month. Love the beautiful design and rich colors of the two window frames and appreciate the details you have captured. We would love to see Australia one day soon.
I liked a lot the gothic shapes and the unusual contrast of red bricks and the lines in concrete. very beautiful detail architectonic. I would like to visit australia, but it is in the other side of the world. OK, you live in the real other side of the world considering australia, but you have more convenient flights than we. anyway australia is expensive.
plimrn (2019/06/05 00:48:21): We did a home exchange but food IS expensive
A beautiful and inventive contribution to our theme of June. I like the rich colours and the impressive symmetry in the photo and the green leaves provide a stunning contrast to the rest of the picture. Thanky you for the interesting note!
Greetings from nearly unbearable hot Germany!
plimrn (2019/06/06 19:44:23): Thank you. It had been quite hot here, it was 29 c yesterday but today is a pleasant 14 so I'm off to work in the yard soon
That's a very creative and attractive post for the TOM. It seems that I am still stuck with people - haha. By the way there is also two plants at the bottom, they work as well. I like your pp a lot, the colors are rich and powerful.
I love Australia. Did you actually meet Lisa? Miss the gal.
plimrn (2019/06/06 19:53:09): I did not, My son planned the whole trip, it was lovely!
What a striking image for its perfect symmetry. Even the plants contributed to give that double effect!
the colors with the red and green complementary color touch enhances the feeling of symmen ry at a different level.
I love it!
