Just a random pick of photos to post. From our trip to Alaska many years ago, feel like just yesterday. Love to take the kids here one day. What experience to take the float plane to some remote area in Alaska and see life move in a slower pace. Our last frontier. would be interesting to live out here.
Taken later in the day just before we go to bed, it never really got completely dark in the summer in Alaska. This was probably around 10 oclock.
Nice to see you taking advantage of new upload rules :). The main is nice but your LV is absolutely gorgeous because of light and color variations. A new fave for sure. It reminds me barbara style somewhere :).
W.Lim (2019/06/15 00:02:23): Thank you. for all you do for PF and more. I like the new feature, and we don't have to hide so many photos in the series or CI...and when we can't decide which one to post...Just do it all at once.
Uhhh yes, a pilot's dream parking the airplane in the complete wilderness putting the tent up near the aircraft somewhere in a soft spot. Great adventure image, a perfect photo for an outdoor magazine. Very nice the mountain chain in the back with this lovely hint of rosť color. Very special experience to be able to read so late in the evening.
Looking into the LV I can't wait to be up in the air again, love the image. B. had a shoulder operation so we had to wait pushing around a heavy Cessna from the fueling station back onto the grass again etc. Flying is a sport - haha. I guess it will be July before the first flight of this year.
Sorry I missed commenting this one earlier. The pale sky gradient and the bright mountains make a fine background for this anchored float plane. The long days make sleeping somewhat difficult but I can't image being there in winter. I did observe that most of the local residents with whom I spoke typically had a sunny vacation early in the year. HLJ x 4, Pat
