Waiting for some two hours under an umbrella in the rain, standing in front of Raglan Castle located in Wales. Finally the sun comes out for 5 minutes before it disappears again for good. Time enough to take 2-3 different shots and than go for a well deserved cream tea. Life for a photographer in the UK can be hard, but has also its rewards.
There should be a pano version of it. Dimensions 1198 × 800, but the inner working of the site didn't allow the upload stating that the image has not the right size? Go figure!

a so long exposition (to the rain!) but it was worth waiting for the clearance to get this stunning image without people, the light is magic and the clouds oppressive. It is said that you have a sunlight ' times a day in UK. We understand why the grass is so green
Yes the waiting paid out, the result is awesome with these huge grey clouds building up behind the castle, with a bit of sunshine too on the building. It makes the green look even greener. Good images need their time, it is true, and there is a story too like "waiting for the sunshine" ... it all goes hand in hand to make it one.
Ha, the pano? Hm, got to talk to Lasse.
LG, Barbara
I checked to upload a panorama, and there were no problems. The dimensions were 2272 x 800px and the file size 1.65 MB. Could it be that the file size was over 2 MB? I cannot figure out any other reason.
Great light. Together with the menacing clouds the scene is somehow magical.
PB-Photography (2019/07/11 14:44:45): I tried it today again. This was the third trial ... and now it was accepted! Weird!
The file is 245kB. I never post anything bigger than 250kB ;-)
