In my earlier river image, the passengers were basically passive while the guide was working hard, Here the passengers a really into the challenge of the river while the guide is just enjoying the ride. I'm not actually sure of the of the site on the map, but in the satellite view one can see a lot of whitewater!
Not only a good action shot of the people enjoying the challenge but also a nice fall colors and the beauty of nature. It is not my kind of sport, well at least I was never really had a chance and now that I'm in my 50, I don't think I will get into it, too many other things in life to do...that I still have yet to fulfil.
plimrn (2019/09/30 00:40:38): I love running rivers, bit none of the men I've had in my life were/are big on this so I have yet to ride this section of the Deschutes
Great action shot with the folks trying to help the guide to steer the boat. The boy to the left even smiles, he seems to enjoy the adventure. You had marvelous fall colors, they must have been peaking at that time. Excellent image for the TOM.
plimrn (2019/09/30 23:54:05): Thank you, I haven't seen the movie but my first river trip was on the Flathead river where the movie was made. I'll have to look for it
There's so much dynamics in this picture! I like how the boat party is totally surrounded by spray and rapids. A beautiful detail also is the shining foliage on the bank. A rousing photo ...
Greetings from at last a bit rainy Germany! Autumn seems to be just around the corner now.
You stealed my idean for the ToM! See my today post!
The river acts as a big reflector to lighten the faces where we can see the joy of riding over the waves and rocks, enhanced by the bright colors of the autumn. Let's go!
A good action shot and as it is really fun with water, or at least for those who dare to do it (not me), this photo is also an excellent contribution to the theme. I also like the yellow leaves, which add beauty to the photo. Indeed, the satellite view has lots of foam, :-)
